The SYMBIOSIS model contributes to positive externalities. Along with producing high quality wood through reforestation, it induces the rescue of floristic and faunistic biodiversity, improves the connectivity of the landscape, contributes to the conservation of the soil and even to the increase of water production, that is, it acts directly in the restoration of environmental services. By respecting the different characteristics of the sites, this model is replicable in any other tropical area, viable in large scale and also to the small producer. It is an economic alternative to logging extractivism and even to the monocultural model.
